We Don't Feel Blue
Sunday, April 18, 2010
We studied Pablo Picasso's famous Blue Period this week. Children chose one color in different shades to express a mood in their painting....orange represented silly, yellow represented happy, etc.
Happy Birthday to The Paintbrush, Happy Birthday to The Paintbrush, Happy Birthday to The Paintbrush...sorry, I got a little carried away. It's just so exciting to be celebrating 5 years! Wow! We'll be celebrating all year long so keep your eyes and ears out for great deals on camp, classes and more!

But you don't have to wait long for some celebrating. In honor of our birthday, this week's project is none other than our signature birthday party project: Jackson Pollock inspired Splatter Painting. The kids will get down right messy dripping, splattering, shaking and squeezing paint onto their canvasses in the true Pollock-style. So much fun!

A big Happy Birthday goes out to Nami, 3!
Overheard at The Paintbrush this week..."My painting is all soggy."
